The TRX was originally created in the Navy SEAL Teams in the late nineties by commandos trying to stay fit while deployed to places where time is of the essence and gyms don't exist. It weighs less than two pounds and folds to the size of a running shoe.
It is non-elastic and uses your own bodyweight as resistance. The difficulty level is completely variable -- from zero to 100% of your bodyweight. Changing the resistance is as simple as taking a couple of steps forward or backward to adjust the angle of your body in relation to the ground. It's called suspension training. In other words, you can either carry around a set of dumbbells that range from one lb to 100+ lbs, or simply throw the TRX in your bag wherever you go!
We Revolution Fitness are the first and only who use TRX to train our clients in Bangkok Thailand. You can also purchase TRX on line via our website.

The New Revolution in Body Weight Training
"TRX is the best training tool I have found this year!!" says Russell Lee the owner of Revolution Fitness.
In Revolution Fitness, we use it for personal training and group fitness training. We are the one and only place to use this revolutionary body weight suspension training in Bangkok Thailand.
It suits everyone from athletics to general population and elder people as well!! You can make it a cardio workout, strength training or even a post re-hab or functional flexibility training.
I can see in the near future this suspension training will be as popular as body pump , body balance or spinning class! In New York city Crunch gym now they have a class call body web and it’s the same philosophy of using body weight suspension for group training.
TRX Suspension Training is having a moment partly because some trainers and clients are bored with the ubiquitous balance equipment like stability balls. Interest in suspension straps is also high because a theory called functional training has been making slow but steady inroads in the fitness business. It advocates strengthening muscles synergistically, rather than in isolation.
- Who can use TRX Suspension Training?
If you already like working out with stability balls, foam rollers and elastic resistance equipment, you'll probably enjoy the challenge. It doesn't look as macho as pushing weights, but once you try it, I'm sure you'll be convinced otherwise. Because the TRX system is suspended, it creates a dynamic environment, making the neuromuscular system work to co-ordinate movement. Athletes will love this right away. In fact, the professional NHL and NFL teams and many elite level athletes are using it.
The TRX is easy to store if you have limited space for your home gym, or if you travel. One the biggest benefits are that it can hang just about anywhere.
- The Sweat Factor
The intensity of the exercises is easily adjusted by changing the body position or by adjusting the strapping anchor position. In some cases, the TRX system can assist you in doing an exercise more easily. Should you choose to do a more advanced workout, you'll definitely be challenged. And you'll feel muscles you never knew you had.
