What is Urban Rebounding?

The Urban Rebounding program is a safe, effective style of aerobics that provides a surprisingly challenging cardiovascular workout without excess stress on the heart, muscles and joints. It uses familiar aerobics moves, sports specific conditioning moves and core stabilization techniques.
The Urban Rebounding program has been devised over the last 6 years. It is based on years of study, by some of the industry’s most respected exercise kinesiologists, around the health and fitness benefits of “trampolining” and more specifically the Urban Rebounding workout.


What are the benefits?


Urban Rebounding burns more calories. By exercising on the Urban Rebounder, your exercising body weight is increased through the increase in G-Force thereby expending more energy. Research by N.A.S.A. has proven that rebounding is 68% more effective than jogging. An average female weighing 10 stone can expect to burn approximately 405 calories in a 45 minute Urban Rebounding workout!

Improves the immune system. The effect of rebounding can make these immune cells up to 5 times more active. The job description of these cells includes eating viruses, bacteria and even cancer cells, so it is good that they be active. Urban Rebounding directly strengthens the immune system.

Reduces Stress. Exercising on the urban rebounder is an excellent method of reducing stress – it can put you into a trance like state and totally relax him/her.

Reduces risk of osteoporosis. As we get older, we lose bone mass and mineral content from our bones which means they become frail and porous leading to osteoporisis and other degenerative skeletal conditions.

Ease the symptons of arthritis. When arthritis develops in a joint, it is important to maintain movement that squeezes old fluid out and new fluid in.
